It attracts butterflies and resists rabbits and deer.Chicago Apache Daylily is a heavy feeder and likes a high nitrogen fertilizer. It is best to use a slow release fertilizer in the early spring when new growth first appears.- Flower stems can be removed after blooming to encourage additional blooms.
